Joint project of NGO "Information security" and Ukrainian Women's Fund, launched by us in 2015, from the calendar and individual programs of Channel 5 in 2016, has already expanded to the documentary "Invisible Battalion" in 2017

From the outset, the goal of the project was to inform the public about the role of women in modern society, in particular in resolving military conflicts on a par with men, to promote the integration of women into armed forces.

Photos and quotes from women interviews formed the basis of “Invisible Battalion” calendar.

It was the calendar with photos of women-soldiers and their quotes that showed the Ukrainians “invisible battalion”, made it visible and drew attention to women-soldiers and to the problem of gender inequality.

As a result, 3000 copies of such calendars were printed and distributed to officials in the ATO area and representatives of the Ukrainian and foreign media markets.

Now this project has expanded to the documentary “The Invisible Battalion”, and as a result, MOU, after our joint campaign, changed the rules for registration of women to the military specialties and opened more than 600 positions for them.

KYIV -- Dressed in a black sweater and equally nondescript turtleneck, with wisps of raven hair corkscrewing from under a black baseball cap, the lanky Ukrainian introduces himself in accented English as "Sean."

KIEV, Ukraine — The industrial zone outside the town of Avdeevka in eastern Ukraine was for years a half-abandoned concrete wasteland. Today, it serves as a strategic outpost on the front line of a simmering war between Ukrainian government forces and pro-Russian separatists, which flared up again this summer with a vengeance.
